Daniel 11 months old |
Daniel's eleventh month is just flying by as we get closer and closer to his first birthday. He has really been enjoying the nice weather and some of his best naps happen in the jogging stroller. He is moving all over the place and likes to explore going up stairs (with mommy and daddy close behind) and loves to sit and rock in daddy's recliner by himself or bounce around on mommy and daddy's big bed. Sometime this month he has become quite the walker! First it started with a very careful step away from the coffee table as he held one hand on the table and reached out for our hand and each day he has become more and more daring. Now, he just wants to walk all of the time! He has learned to stand up on his own without the furniture and he gets a big smile on his face when he sees how excited we get. He is becoming more insistent on holding a spoon and feeding himself finger foods and doesn't really want anything to do with a sippy cup. His daddas and daddys and mumum are becoming more consistent and we even get a "yiayia" sometimes. Some days he is super shy and other days he is quite the character, but he is most always with a sweet smile. He loves to figure things out and "show off" when he is banging the table or making a toy sing. He points, we are not sure what at, but he is pointing. He is starting to learn where his belly is, and at times will look down at his chubby belly and pat it. He knows how to be a bit mischievious too.... taking the remote or going near the fireplace and "talking back" when he hears a "no-no" from mama and forget about sitting still for changing his diaper; daddy just changes him standing up in his crib and mama just lets him crawl around naked sometimes...no accidents....yet! Can't believe this time last year, we were just waiting and waiting for the big day!

The kids were such troopers, it was soooo hot! |

As you can see, we almost melted at the parade; shortly after this picture
we packed it up and had a fun lunch and a couple of cold ones, inside! |
